Swiss peeks: 2008 BaselWorld, SIHH preview

New York—The latest watches will soon be unveiled at BaselWorld (with more timepiece debuts to follow at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie), but the sneak peeks shown in our "Swiss peeks" feature reveal some of the trends expected to be all the wrist rage at the Swiss shows.

The larger-case trend for both men's and women's watches won't be shrinking any time soon, and excessive flourishes will continue.

Diamonds bedeck several of the watches featured, and limited editions are in full force too, catering to buyers who demand exclusivity.

Skeleton options abound as do darker-hued bracelets, with bright jewel-tone alternatives popping up every now and again.
