America's Best Jewelers symposium to debut

New York—The
America's Best Jewelers Network Retail Benchmarking Symposium and Awards Presentation will make its debut this weekend, recognizing 31 couture retailers for their contributions and progressive strategies in creating successful businesses.
The event will take place this Saturday, July 26, at the Westin at Times Square in New York.
A total of 31 retailers will be recognized, and a number of them will discuss their winning strategies with an audience of 75 retailers in a peer-to-peer educational forum. Topics to be discussed include marketing, operations, staffing/human resources, customer service and financial metrics.
Winning panelists set to speak are: John Ahee, vice president, Edmund T. Ahee Jewelers; Brad Boozer, owner, Boozers Premiere Diamonds and Timepiece; Scott Brown, vice president of operations, Benari Jewelers; Susan Eisen, chief executive officer, Susan Eisen Fine Jewelry and Watches; Steven Fina, president of retail, Michael C. Fina Co.;
Jerry E. Gause, president, Gause and Son Jewelers; Emil Girardin, owner, Girardin Jewelers; John Henne, president, Henne Jewelers; Robert Hutter, chief financial officer, Tapper's; Sissy Jones, chief executive officer, Sissy's Log Cabin; Michael Karaman, president, James Free Jewelers; Michael Littman, co-president, Gary Michaels Fine Jewelry; David Stone, president, Nancy and David Fine Jewels; and
Matthew Wilson, owner, Wilson and Son Jewelers.
