Las Vegas—The jewelry industry's most prestigious awards ceremony, the
Town and Country Couture Design Competition, concluded on Friday night at the Couture show at the
Wynn Las Vegas, where winners in 10 categories were celebrated by their peers.
The winners were:
Katharine James in bridal, Sevan in colored gemstones, Arunashi in diamonds, Pamela Froman Fine Jewelry in gold,
Valente Gioiellieri in haute couture,
Todd Reed in natural-colored diamonds, BLU by Betty Lou Moscot in "newcomer," Autore in pearls,
Erica Courtney in platinum and Armenta in silver.
Nearly 12,000 votes were cast for the 14th annual competition, which began online on May 5. Finalists, selected on May 21 based on the results of the online voting, were invited to display their jewels at the show in the run-up to Friday's ceremony.
"The online judging was a terrific success," Couture Vice President Lee Arevian said. "Not only did we get more entries and votes than ever before, we were also able to generate a tremendous amount of pre-show marketing for our exhibitors and excitement about the competition."
Town and Country Publisher Jim Taylor hosted the event, which has traditionally served as the highlight of the Couture show.
