Jewelry with themes including flowers, insects, fish and crustaceans were the focus at an affair recently held in
Place Vendome,
Paris, the
International Herald Tribune reported.
Boucheron—who is celebrating a 150 years—showcased a gem-encrusted snail shell and a sapphire and emerald peacock ring.
Chanel gave attendees a peek at jewels—including a sapphire, emerald and diamond flower—that will be on exhibit at the Salon des Antiquaires in September.
Van Cleef and Arpels displayed pieces with flower as well as fish motifs.
